Green Campus Initiatives Include:

Restricted entry of automobiles: 

College does not allow to enter in the campus premises all the vehicles. Only the fraternity of college can enter with their vehicles. In the college campus restricted automobile can enter and most of them park in the parking area.

Pedestrian Friendly Pathways:

Shivalik College of Engineering is well connected through bus, auto, e-rickshaw from different place. Inside the campus a solar powered cart is trip rounding whole campus. Besides this college have Pedestrian Friendly Walkways. Students or employees can walk or go through bicycle in the campus. Special Pedestrian Friendly walkways is made with street light.

Ban on use of Plastic

On 05/06/2018 on the occasion of World Environment Day a programme was organised in association with ICC regarding abandoning the use of plastic. A pledge was taken by the members of the College community regarding abandoning use of Plastic in the College Campus. Volunteers of NSS, SCE College Unit also took part in the programme. College took initiatives to make the campus plastic free zone. Rally with students, teachers, staffs and officers for removal of plastic from the campus was held in 2019 also as well as Swachha Bharat Abhiyan held in the campus.

Landscaping with Trees and Plants 

Every year during rainy season and on various occasions, college takes the initiative of plantation inside the college campus. College also has its own nursery and promote different NGO and institute for plantation. College takes the advantage of free plant from nursery and plantation takes place every year inside and outside the campus. The campus in total have approx 1500 Trees/Shrubs/Flowering Shurbs.

Horticultural Museum

The College has developed a Horticultural Museum with appox 225 fruit bearing plants in around 2800m2 of land.

In a location inside the campus some medicinal plants are also planted over last five years

Solar Powered Green Cart 

Taking one more step for making SCE a Green Campus Faculty and Students of Mechanical Engineering Department have designed and developed a Solar Powered Cart for small range travel/transport within the campus
