On 25th September 2023, the Health Club of Shivalik College, Dehradun, in association with the IMA Blood Bank, Dehradun, organized a commendable blood donation drive, demonstrating the spirit of service and community welfare.
The event commenced at 10:00 am and continued until 4:30 pm in Room No. 104, situated on the Ground Floor.
The drive saw an overwhelming participation, with a total of 135 units of blood donated. This commendable response was largely from the students, faculties, and staff of Shivalik College, emphasizing the community’s unity and commitment to the cause.
A notable highlight of the event was the inauguration by the Hon’ble Member of the Legislative Assembly of Uttarakhand, Shree Sahdev Singh Pundir Ji. His presence not only elevated the significance of the event but also motivated many participants. On his arrival, the NCC Unit of Shivalik College presented him with a Guard of Honour, adding a touch of solemnity and respect to the occasion.
Key figures from Shivalik College, including the Director SCE, Dr. Prahalad Singh; the Principal of Pharmacy, Dr. Sayantan Mukhopadhyay; and Mr. Surmadhur Pant, the Dean of Student Welfare, graced the occasion with their presence. Their involvement underscored the importance the institution places on such humanitarian endeavors.
The success of the event was a testament to the collective efforts of the organizing teams, the enthusiasm of the donors, and the unwavering support of the Shivalik College community.
