Profile Highlights

Shri Ajay Kumar is a graduate engineer in Electronics with a post-graduate degree in Information Technology.
He was associated with Larsen & Toubro, one of the renowned multinational corporations, for over six years in a senior executive position.
He relinquished his appointment, with a distinct vision of establishing an institution to promote education in the fields of Engineering and Technology.
In 2008, Mr. Ajay Kumar established Shivalik College of Engineering, offering undergraduate engineering courses with the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
He led the collaboration with IBM to establish an “IBM System Centre of Excellence” for cloud computing and set up the e-Yantra lab for advanced Robotics with IIT, Bombay.
In recognition of his continuous efforts in educational excellence, he has been conferred awards including Shiksha Vid and the Dr. Radhakrishnan Sadbhavana Award.

Prof. (Dr) T.S. Sidhu is presently Director at Shivalik College of Engineering.
He has also served as Director at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Beant College of Engineering and Technology, and Baba Hira Singh Bhattal Institute of Engineering and Technology.
His academic career spans for more than 31 years involving Teaching, Administration, Research, Laboratory Development, Infrastructure development, HRM activities etc.
He has published 99 Research papers in Referred Journals with H-index: (as per Google Scholar)-26, i10 Index: (as per Google Scholar)-41, and total Citations- 2336.
He has published 75 papers in international/ national conferences.
He performs every duty and responsibility with dedication and devotion and his hard work always yields positive results.
Personal achievements: He got best Ph.D. award, got appreciation letter from IIT Roorkee for submitting Ph.D. in shortest time (in 2 years 04 Months), Best paper awards, his bio-data was published in the American Journal.

Prof. (Dr.) Sayantan Mukhopadhyay

What is education? You may already be aware of the bookish meaning of the term. However, for me, education drives away obliviousness in an individual and provides confidence and certainty to perform one’s personal and professional duties, with righteous thoughts and actions.

As the Principal of College of Pharmacy, Shivalik Campus, I’m pleased to say that the Founder’s visionary dreams have unfolded in a glorious journey and are destined for a promising future. We are inspired to move forward by observing the bright and successful careers of thousands of students who were once part of the institution and are now shaping the modern world.

We focus on continuous improvement in the quality of our scholastic activities with a firm commitment to meeting the expectations of our students. I wish the very best in the endeavors of all who are contributing to the honorable profession of education, in whatever manner possible.

Profile Highlights

With over 17+ years of experience in research and academia, Dr. Sayantan Mukhopadhyay serves as Principal of the College of Pharmacy, Shivalik Campus, Dehradun. He has published more than 100 research and review papers, holds several patents, and has authored books and book chapters. Dr. Mukhopadhyay actively organizes workshops, conferences, and seminars to encourage academic dialogue and innovation, while also guiding and inspiring future pharmacists.
Being a Life Member of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) and the Society for Ethnopharmacology, India, further showcases his active engagement in professional organizations. He has also played a mentoring role, guiding approximately 30 M. Pharm. students and currently supervising six Ph.D. research scholars. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of Pharmaceutics, he has been honoured with the “Excellence Contribution in the field of Pharmaceutics” award at Social Talks.

As the Dean of Student Welfare and Director of Admissions, my primary focus is to ensure that each student receives the support they need to grow not just academically, but holistically. It’s about nurturing students’ emotional, mental, physical, and social well-being to help them become well-rounded individuals.

Dr. Surmadhur Pant serves as the Dean of Student Welfare, Director of IQAC, and Director of Admissions at Shivalik College, Dehradun. A seasoned academic leader, he brings over 17 years of rich experience in teaching and administration, with a strong focus on student development, support services, and strategic enrollment management.
He holds a Ph.D. in Renewable Energy, aligning with his passion for sustainability and innovation. This academic foundation has shaped his approach toward creating dynamic, student-centered initiatives that foster personal growth and academic success.
In his dual role, Dr. Pant is committed to ensuring a seamless admissions experience while simultaneously enhancing student life through robust welfare programs, counselling support, and a nurturing campus culture. His leadership ensures that students not only receive quality education but also develop into responsible and capable individuals ready to take on the challenges of the future.
